Our administration offices is in the city center of Funchal. We do not have a physical location, our staff will be pleased to delivery and pick up the car to the most convenient places: Hotels, Airport, Private houses, Office, etc.

Yes, all online rates include the discount. The “Web Rate” is only valid for pre-check-in payments.

You can book independently via our website www.ruvioli.pt.
Use the booking form to select your vehicle model and extra services. The system will automatically calculate the total with the discount applied. Once completed, you’ll receive an email requesting payment of a 30% non-refundable deposit within 24 hours via the link “PAY THE DEPOSIT NOW.” Once the deposit is received, a “Confirmed” email will be sent.

Yes, the deposit will be deducted. If for example the total rental cost is €100, deposit of €30,00 (30%) will be asked in advance and balance of €70,00 (70%) due on vehicle pickup.

Rental rates and prices for additional services are calculated by an automated algorithm. Once the 30% deposit is paid, we cannot adjust or modify the rental price or services.

Yes, you may purchase additional services the day of your rental however baby seats and booster seats need to be booked in advance. Availability and price may vary.

If you are unable to complete the 30% deposit via our system, please contact us at info@ruvioli.pt.

We only guarantee a vehicle from a specific group (e.g., Group A, B, C), not a specific make, color, engine type, transmission or features (Bluetooth, GPS). If the selected model is unavailable, we will provide, at no extra cost, a vehicle from the same or higher group with similar specifications.

Before booking is officially confirmed, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required. This amount is non-refundable.

Modifications are at the administration’s discretion. Email info@ruvioli.pt with your reservation number and requested changes. An operator will check availability and send a new confirmation email with any updated pricing (e.g., date changes, return location, after-hours pickup).

Yes, prepaid cards are accepted for both rental fees and security deposits.

Absolutely. At the contract signing, we perform two operations:
– Payment of the rental
– Pre-authorization of the security deposit If no damage is found upon vehicle return, we cancel the authorization and attach the cancellation slip to your rental contract.

As soon as the vehicle is returned, the pre-authorization is canceled. Note: The deposit is not actually charged—it is only pre-authorized. No money is debited or credited from your bank account. For precise timing of the release, consult your bank. We cannot intervene once the cancellation process is completed.

No, but the cardholder must be present when the contract is signed.

No, different cards can be used, as long as they belong to the contract holder, who must be present at pickup

The Kasko insurance, always included in our rental contracts, reduces the customer’s liability to a maximum of €600. The only responsibilities remaining are for: glass (windshield, windows, mirrors), wheels (tires and rims), locks, interior upholstery, documents, negligence, or traffic violations. Customer liability can be limited to the deductible stated in the contract, provided all terms are met and damage, loss, or theft was not caused intentionally or through gross negligence by the customer or any authorized/unauthorized driver.

Medium Kasko reduces the customer’s liability to just €300 and removes liability for bodywork damages only (e.g., accidental door dents, broken mirrors, scratches under the bumper, etc.).
The same conditions apply regarding contract compliance and intent/negligence.

Super Kasko with “zero” deductible reduces liability to a maximum of €150 only in cases of lost/broken keys or incorrect refueling.
Again, this applies as long as all contractual terms are respected.

Cars are supplied with a variable amount of fuel and must be returned with the same level.
If returned with less, the cost of the missing fuel plus a €15 service fee will be charged.

Even with Kasko or Super Kasko, any incident requiring an insurance claim incurs a €120 administrative fee, in addition to the insurance deductible applied by the company. If it’s due to negligence or violation of speed limits or highway code, all costs fall on the customer.

Yes, only if the license uses Roman characters and there is an agreement between the issuing country and Portugal.
For non-EU residents, both your home license and an International Driving Permit are required. Both must be presented at pickup.

No, rented vehicles must remain on the island of Madeira.

Contact immediately our staff. If it’s a mechanical fault, we’ll help you reach the nearest branch and provide a replacement vehicle.
If it’s due to negligence or misuse, all costs fall on the customer.

Notify the rental point right away.
A duplicate key will be delivered from our headquarters as quickly as possible.
Delivery and replacement costs are the customer’s responsibility.
With Super Kasko, you’re covered up to €150.

Absolutely not. Smoking or vaping inside the vehicle is strictly forbidden. If returned in unsanitary condition, a €100 sanitation fee plus one day’s rental will be charged.

Cars must be returned as clean and tidy as received. Stains from food, salt, sunscreen, etc., result in a €100 sanitation charge plus one day’s rental.

Returning the car with any type of trash or personal belongings is strictly prohibited. Ruvioli Rent a Car is not responsible for forgotten items and cannot guarantee safekeeping.

No, but the vehicle must be returned in good hygienic condition. A €150 charge applies for partial cleaning; €50 for sanitization if trash is left inside.
